All the residents at Waratah Cottage in Baulkham Hills will be able to enjoy the spa thanks to the donation of specialised pool equipment from Waves Aquatic Centre after it was closed for extensive renovations.
The donation of a pool hoist, adult change table and marquees was welcomed by Warrah Society which manages Waratah Cottage and provides supported independent living services to six residents with a range of disabilities.
The Executive Manager Disability Services said: “Being able to use the spa will provide real benefit for our residents who have various physical as well as intellectual disabilities. The therapeutic benefits of accessing this spa will be numerous and we are certain that our residents will enjoy this very much.”
“Warrah Society and particularly Waratah Cottage are incredibly grateful for this thoughtful donation from Waves because of the expense of purchasing one of these. We have been planning for increasing the accessibility of the spa for some time, but this donation has made it happen very quickly.” said the Coordinator of Waratah Cottage.
