Pro bono and gifts in kind
At Warrah, we are deeply grateful to the individuals, businesses and community groups who generously donate their time, expertise and goods to support our community. Pro bono services and gifts in kind help us stretch our resources further and make meaningful, lasting improvements to the lives of people with intellectual disability.
Whether it’s professional expertise, materials, equipment or services, your contribution can make a real and practical difference to the way we educate, support and empower people to learn, create and grow.
Gifts in Kind
A gift in kind is a non-cash donation that supports Warrah in practical, hands-on ways. These contributions help us maintain our facilities, deliver programs and create welcoming, safe environments for our students, residents and participants.
Examples of gifts in kind include:
- Furniture and whitegoods
- Building materials, tools and paint
- General household items
- Food, produce or program supplies
- Raffle prizes or event donations
Donations of goods directly support our school, supported independent living homes and social and community day programs.
Pro Bono Support
Pro bono work refers to professional services provided voluntarily and at no cost by qualified professionals. This support plays an important role in strengthening Warrah’s operations and ensuring our resources are focused where they are needed most.
We welcome professionals who can offer their skills on a one-off basis or through an ongoing partnership.
Areas of support may include:
- Facility or property works i.e. building, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning etc
- Landscaping or garden works
- Instructions in art, weaving, yoga, pottery, woodwork, etc
- Legal services
- Building or project management
- Marketing, communications or design
- Fundraising or event support
- IT or technical expertise
By sharing your professional expertise, you help Warrah operate more efficiently and sustainably.
Current Priorities
From time to time, Warrah seeks pro bono services, gifts in kind and sponsorship to support specific projects or urgent needs across our community. These may include facility upgrades, program delivery, events or improvements to learning, living and work spaces.

Recognition and Tax Deductibility
Where eligible, Warrah can provide a tax-deductible receipt for pro bono services and gifts in kind in line with ATO guidelines.
With your permission, we are proud to acknowledge the generosity of our supporters through our various communication channels.
We recognise contributions in ways that are respectful, meaningful and aligned with your organisation’s preferences.
