Short Term Respite
Set amongst 12 hectares of peaceful bushland, Warrah offers Short Term Accommodation (STA), including respite supports, for participants and their families and carers. Supports are available during the week and on weekends.
Our respite service provides participants with a safe and supportive environment away from home, while also giving families and carers the opportunity to take a planned break from their caring role. We understand the importance of trusted respite supports that promote continuity of care, wellbeing, and stability for everyone involved.
Our purpose-built accommodation is comfortable, fully equipped, and designed to feel like a home away from home, with 24-hour support available based on individual needs. During their stay, participants are supported to maintain daily routines, participate in meaningful activities, build independence, and enjoy social connections in a relaxed environment.
Participants can access activities on campus and in the local community, including bush walking, swimming in the heated accessible pool, cooking, arts and crafts, games, and music. Our campus also features sensory gardens, an on-site Biodynamic Farm, and an Organic Farm Shop. Activities are guided by participant interests, goals, and support needs, with a focus on wellbeing, community participation, and daily living skills.
We work closely with participants, families, carers, and support coordinators to plan flexible respite stays that meet individual support needs and preferences. Supports can be provided on an individual or shared basis, depending on participant requirements.
