The new Walumeda building construction and refurbishment of the existing building has unfortunately not progressed as swiftly as we had initially envisaged, however we are very pleased with the progress that Holdmark have made.
Holdmark Property Group founder, Mr Sarkis Nassif, is donating the building resources toward ‘Walumeda’ at Warrah, and the new and improved building will be used for Discovery, a community support service for young adults and to provide Short Stay accommodation.
The extent of rain days experienced and the lengthy delays in the delivery of construction materials has contributed towards the construction delays. However, Holdmark remains optimistic that the works will be completed by April 2021.
“This new infrastructure for much needed services, would not be possible without the incredible generosity of Sarkis Nassif. We are extremely grateful to him and the ongoing support we receive from the Urban Taskforce,” said Chairman Steve Malin from Warrah.
Once finished the building will provide updated accommodations, a new accessible bedroom and bathroom, two new work areas, upgraded services, accessibility ramps, a new deck and bushland landscaping. Warrah is looking forward to the official opening of the building and the opportunities that this improved building will provide.
