Warrah is proud to be a Return and Earn charity partner, giving our community a simple way to support our work while caring for the environment.
Through the NSW Return and Earn scheme, eligible drink containers can be recycled for a refund, and that refund can now be donated directly to Warrah. It’s a small action that creates a real impact, fewer containers in landfill, and greater support for people with intellectual disabilities.
Funds raised through Return and Earn will support a range of Warrah initiatives and programs, with the fundraising focus changing each quarter. To kick things off, we are raising funds for a new coffee machine for the Waaia Café, helping us continue to provide welcoming community spaces and meaningful participation opportunities.
Getting involved is easy:
- Download the Return and Earn App.
- Set up your account and choose ‘donate’ as your active payout.
- Select Warrah Society as the charity to support.
- Collect your eligible cans and bottles.
- Visit a Return and Earn machine, scan your app barcode, deposit your containers, and 100% of your refund will go to Warrah.
Look for the 10c symbol on labels, this includes glass bottles, plastic bottles, aluminium cans, and cartons.
Prefer not to use the app? Drop eligible containers into the blue Return and Earn tub on the back verandah at Waaia.
Our goal is to raise $1,500 for the new coffee machine. Every container counts! Together, one bottle or can at a time, we can reduce landfill, give containers a second life, and make a real difference for Warrah and the environment.
