Warrah Society is pleased to announce that we have been successful in our grant application to Westfund, securing a defibrillator. This acquisition marks a significant step in enhancing the health and wellbeing of our community.
As a provider of comprehensive services for people with disabilities, Warrah recognises the critical importance of immediate access to medical assistance in emergency situations. Our community comprises individuals with diverse health challenges, many of whom are at an increased risk of health crises. The availability of a defibrillator will be an invaluable asset, significantly enhancing the safety and security of our community members, particularly those with underlying health conditions.
Our location in Dural, with its ageing population and close proximity to other schools, underscores the need for such life-saving equipment and the necessity for emergency preparedness in our area. The defibrillator will be strategically located, ensuring quick access during emergencies.
Warrah is dedicated to the safety of all our students, residents, participants, staff, visitors, and volunteers. The acquisition of a defibrillator will ensure a prompt and effective response to cardiac emergencies, providing peace of mind to everyone who steps onto our premises.
With more than 80% of our staff trained in CPR, we are committed to the health and welfare of all individuals within our care and vicinity. The defibrillator will be a critical addition to our existing emergency response capabilities, reinforcing our dedication to creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone in the Warrah community.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Westfund for their generous support. This grant will undoubtedly have a profound impact on the lives of those we serve, enhancing our ability to respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations.
