Warrah Specialist School provides Education with a Difference for Kindergarten to Year 12 students with moderate to severe intellectual disability and complex learning needs. Situated on an extensive bushland site, which includes a Biodynamic Farm, Organic Farm Shop, and Artisan Bakery. Our school provides a natural and idyllic environment where students thrive. We follow Rudolf Steiner’s pedagogical philosophies and provide a unique and creative outdoor curriculum.
We offer high-quality, personalised education focusing on Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), ensuring learning is optimised and tailored for each student. Students participate in a life skills curriculum at all ages, however, when students enter senior school, there is an increased life skills focus, which includes workplace training, work experience, and preparation for a life beyond school. Key Learning Areas include literacy, numeracy, science, and physical development which are integrated with traditional arts, weaving, woodwork, music, life skills, cooking, and farming.
