Warrah is excited to receive a 2020 Stockland CARE grant to implement a therapeutic gardening initiative with our residents at Jacaranda and Tallowood. Warrah’s Senior Coordinator Therapeutic Gardening Coordinator will work with residents to install two new raised garden beds to grow herbs and vegetables. This will cultivate not only fresh produce for the homes, but opportunities for health, wellbeing, social interaction and recreational enjoyment.
The initiative – ‘Cultivating Wellbeing for Seniors’ seeks to provide an engaging gardening activity which facilitates social interaction with fellow residents and an opportunity to facilitate gentle exercise and wellbeing.
